You've arrived, off the beaten track in Europe!

Moldova is one of the least visited countries in the whole of Europe (San Marino and Liechtenstein seem to be the only few visited countries).

But why go?

It is part of the beauty. You won't find a bunch of tourists here.

Moldova is a relatively inexpensive destination. I have visited Moldova once or twice: in 2012 and once in 2017.

Interestingly, I quite enjoy my time in Moldova. If I look for secret monasteries next to the cliffs, encourage wine glasses with new Moldovan friends, eat a lot of lobsters on the market that I can fit in my mouth, hitchhiking in the countryside of Moldova, making my friends with Transnistria my limited Russian language skills or just Wandering the streets of Chinisu.

The blog posts I have received about Moldova (rarely have!) Seem to be boring, ugly, harsh and relying on poor faith. Of course, the atmosphere here is very calm. Which I really enjoyed. Honestly, I like the Moldova place. You go and enjoy.

Well, Moldova is not the richest country (but it is also not the poorest in the world ... only in Europe).

I noticed a difference between my two visits that Moldovan people seem to be more optimistic about the future of their country than in 2012. So if you are interested in Orthodox churches, meeting friendly locals, Soviet-style sparkling wines and architecture and isolated regions should probably take you on this tour of history.

After the establishment of the Principality of Moldavia, there was a close relationship with Moldavia throughout the history of the 1350s.

The principality of Moldova covers most parts of the modern country, including Moldova (as well as Romania). About 200 years later, Moldova was incorporated into the Ottoman Empire, until one of the many Russo-Turkish wars, Basarbia, was seen with the Russian Empire in the early 19th century, which became the most modern in November 1917, the Democratic Republic of Moldova in March 1917 and Gained brief independence before uniting with Romania.

In March 1992, fighting intensified between Moldova and Transnistria, which would later become a Russian-backed separatist region.

The official currency of Moldova is the Moldovan Liu, abbreviated as: MDL.

You can easily withdraw Liu from ATMs across the country or exchange foreign currency at banks.
